all collectable card games are just an easier form of Magic

Here's a place for general discussion of MTG.

True.
Duel Masters is a exact copy of Magic except instead of 20 hit points it replaced with sheilds. But they down graded game abit for children.

true.

mtg is defintley one of the most diverse and intricate card games there is.

pokemon tcg is almost completly the same as MTG in many ways too.

Yugioh is just simpler( still better though 8) )

i prefer YUGIOH over MTG, but i think MTG is simpler than YUGIOH, actually. especially when it comes to the rules; in YUGIOH its much easier to get confused with all the different effects, getting your timing right, special rules for certain cards and the like.

example: POWER BOND + BARREL BEHIND THE DOOR
SKILL DRAIN + IGNITION EFFECTS

mind you, im not a MTG player, i just played it a few times and know the rules. took me only about an hour or so to learn them. the basics of YUGIOH isnt hard to learn. thats not what im saying. its just that, when things get really heated up, like when 2 pros face off using wicked combos and counters, things get VERY complicated.

ive witnessed myself, more than once, when a judge couldnt explain why a player couldnt perform a certain action. "thats just the rules", they say, and that sucks  .

id definitly have to say true. whether its the ability to pwn your opponent, or just be a badass on the playing field, magic takes the cake. i would know this since magic is actually my major card game. iv been playing magic for... phew... uhhh... about 7 years now?

well the point is, yes, magic is a very difficult card game, and makes the others look like kiddy games lol. if one were to play magic, they would probably have to start with something else. like yu gi oh, or duel masters.
List of decks I hate:

Counter Fairy
Anti-Warrior
Pyro Burn
Baseball Kid

Magic > Yugioh

and every other card game.

In every single way possible. Magic just gets a little overly competitive sometimes... and people go to drastic measures.

I play both, and I think Magic is bounds and leaps harder. You ever see someone hit 65 million life in Yu-gi-oh and still lose? We gtta youtube some of our games lol. And forget the rules, OMG!
