The Sixth Color

Post by Ej1997 » Mon Jan 18, 2016 1:15 pm

So for those out there who play magic I wanted to ask what you think about the new color that's been released in the latest set. I mean technically it's not a new color it's just colorless but it's effectively a new color. I'm actually really excited seeing the fact that there are so many new amazing eldrazi with it :D

And here's what it looks like

I think it's cool that they're finally giving Colorless a basic land. Although I can think of a few modern decks where this might be overpowered, like artifacts

Just build a wall of floodgates.
And make the OCG pay for it!

Tbh artifacts won't be changing their manabases to much because they can run the urza lands and produce a lot more mana. Printing wastes feels like it's mostly for edh players who have been wanting to play colorless but had to go out and buy expensive colorless nonbasics to build.

Like now instead of needing to gather say 36 terrible tapped lands or expensive tapped lands now I can just run 36 wastes and everything is good. Sure there are some lands you'll want to run but for the rest wastes is a shoe in.

colorless card are fun. been enjoying this format a lot more.

Not really the sixth color. artifacts were at one time called silver cards.

It feels like one though by being a new definitive mana cost for things.
