D/D Decks (Pure D/D and D/D Pepe)

This is the place to tell us about your deck and to give other people feedback on theirs.

Please be nice to new players. Don't expect everyone to be an expert, that is why they are asking for advice, after-all.

D/D Decks (Pure D/D and D/D Pepe)

Post by Windsofthepast » Thu Nov 19, 2015 1:22 pm

So, first things first, I'm not going to lie. I totally nabbed two decks from YouTube and literally copied them card for card with maybe one or two changes in each deck. For those of you who aren't aware, I have been out of this game for a considerable while and am only just now getting back into the swing of things. My deck building skills (what little I had, anyway) are rather rusty. It is for this reason I've nabbed two decks to start as a basic outline, as well as to get the general opinion on which one you guys think will do better in the current Meta.

First deck is Pure D/D:

==Monsters 17==
[3] D/D Savant Kepler
[3] D/D Swirl Slime
[3] D/D Berfoet
[3] D/D/D Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok
[3] D/D/D Rebel King Leonidas
[2] D/D Necro Slime

==Spells 10==
[3] Dark Contract With the Gate
[2] Dark Contract with the Swap King
[2] Mystical Space Typhoon
[1] Soul Charge
[1] One for One
[1] Raigeki

==Traps 13=
[3] Storming Mirror Forcce
[3] Fiendish Chain
[2] Dark Contract with the Witch
[1] D/D/D Human Resources
[1] Vanity's Emptiness
[1] Bottomless Trap Hole
[1] Solemn Warning
[1] Compulsory Evacuation Device

==Extra==
[3] D/D/D Oracle King D'Arc
[2] D/D/D Wave Oblivion King Caesar Ragnark
[1] Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer
[1] D/D/D Marksman King Tell
[2] D/D/D Wave King Caesar
[1] Number 11: Big Eye
[1] Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack
[1] Number 74: Master of Blades
[1] Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon
[1] Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand
[1] D/D/D Duo-Dawn King Kali Yuga

From my understanding, the current play style for the deck abuses Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok to make big plays and D'Arc to keep life points while you make full use of the Dark Contract cards. Ideal plays would be to get D'Arc out turn oneish and then maintain advantage by using Dark Contract with the Gate and Abyss Ragnarok.
Second Deck is D/D Pepe:

[3] Performage Plushfire
[1] Performage Mirror Conductor
[3] Performage Damage Juggler
[1] Performage Hat Tricker
[1] Performage Trick Clown
[3] Luster Pendulum, The Dracoslayer
[2] Maxx "C"

==Spells 10==
[3] Dark Contract with the Gate
[1] Dark Contract with the Swamp King
[3] Wavering Eyes
[1] One For One
[1] Foolish Burial
[1] Raigeki

==Traps 3==
[1] Dark Contract with the Witch
[1] Vanity's Emptiness
[1] Solemn Warning

[1] Castel, The Skyblaster Musketeer

[1] Number 103: Ragnazero
[1] Performage Trapeze Magician
[1] Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack
[1] Number 11: Big Eye
[1] Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon
[1] Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon
[1] Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand
[1] D/D/D Duo-Dawn King Kali Yuga
I know little about how anything Pepe related works, but I assume you just abuse cards that keep coming back and special summons and pendulum summons and this that and everything else in order to get massive advantage and just overflow the field with advantage that your opponent has no hope to keep up with? I assume then, that the D/D engine just helps keep control over the game and make easy come backs. D'Arc help keep life points high when using effects like Trick Clown repeatedly while Wave Oblivion King deals with problematic monsters you'd otherwise have issues dealing with, or allows you to get over things like Honest.
I'm personally more inclined toward the pure build, but the potential that PePe offers is also interesting.

What do you guys think?
My thoughts on Pendulum Summoning: "Somebody played a card game and then boom! End of the world. It totally happened, just like I said; just card game -- boom! Everyone dead."
