Doesnt matter, you seen the bill for a small operation without insurance let alone something like a quadruple bypass. I would gladly pay alot more in taxes for free healthcare

What if I want to take a chance without healthcare? What if I don't want to pay those extra taxes?

Anyways, you guys should like healthcare, don't listen to what the opponents of it tell you. 2 years ago I dislocated my finger and it's slightly bent. Right now I am sitting in a doctors office waiting to see an orthopedic surgeon to see of its worth getting straightened out. Haven't seen a single bill, nor will I.
How much more are your taxes because of health care?
us, canadians only pay about 5% more on our taxes

We pay less per capita on average than Americans do on healthcare. Yes our taxes are higher though, in Ontario sales tax is 13%, but that also covers other things like unemployment, daycare, etc... Other social programs.

Today the orthaepedic surgeon told me the bone in my finger is deformed because of when i broke it 2 years ago, and in order to fix it they would have to surgically break it, put pins in it, then let it heal for about 2 months. It is purely cosmetic, but is still 100% covered.

Just not having healthcare and risking it seems like a bad idea imo. Just in may I got the stomach flu which I did not get better from for over a month, and had to have an upper endoscopy (They put a camera in your stomach) and see a gastroentorologist. from what I hear of the USA seeing specialists and having procedures/surgeries is expensive? I was put to sleep so there was also an anesthesiologist.

Then you are like 75% of Americans
I would love it as I dont have insurance to fix my knees and ankles, also suffering through things like the flu sucks. Welcome to most of America

I never said it was a good idea, but I still want the ability to make my own choices. I don't want healthcare forced down my throat by the government.

You aren't forced to use it, its just there if you need it.

But I'm forced to pay for it, even if I don't want it.

Being forced to pay for something you don't want is worse.

You do realize that at first Obama wanted to do Universal Health Care, yet the republicans watered it down to the retarded "You are forced to get health care until 2014 or else you pay fines" thing, and since Obama is a good guy he went with a comprimise, i say it's kind of a stupid thing to comprimise with the republicans because they would just turn around and blame you for their stupid idea.

But still Obama 2012 :D

How are you paying for public healthcare? The government is forcing someone else to pay for you.

That's more of the healthcare industry's doing than the republicans. For some reason, corrupt businessmen like keeping their money.
