Automotive Photoshop Fun

Post by MysticJhn » Wed Jul 13, 2016 10:56 pm

Just had to share a truck I photoshopped.
A while back, when I was out walking, I saw someone
with a truck that had a cool paint scheme, although I wasn't
a fan of the truck model itself.
However, I thought something similar might look cool on a more classic truck.
So tonite I finally got around to quickly shopping a truck up somewhat how I'd want one
if I ever could afford such a thing.

Here is my bass inspired truck!

That truck was all blue when I started.

EDIT: For reference, here's the orginal photo.

Did you put a green filter over whatever was blue? Looks like a bit more work was put into it, but I can't tell because i'm no graphics expert.
Sure looks good though.

Sort of.
Basically I colored in with green on a new layer using the correct blending mode.
The green layer was faded so it slowly blended into the lower half that's more yellow and tan.
Removed the color of the footboard entirely so it was greyscale, then adjusted the brightness and contrast of it
to look like chrome, and added some noise over the green to look like metal flake.

It's essentially just coloring in with advanced blending.
