Need this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STs4wDJewNw

It's okay Zan, I understand what you're doing. I made a calculator in 1.5 before all these fancy piston tips and tricks were added. Then made a clock in 1.7. I had no life...

So, server is hopefully coming back up tonight or tomorrow afternoon. I had to do another hardware swap and back up the SSD the server is running on, and that takes forever when my dock has 3.5 mbps transfer speeds and the server files are 12 GBs.

I really don't know why the server files are that large. I would be willing to bet it's all dynmap data on the apache server.

Will post when the server is back up.

I missed the server today, had this cool idea for a new build post-school.
I know, I got a butt load of stuff left to do for the school, but I have a new adventure already in mind.

Server's back up. Took forever to get the files copied, but it's all good now.

Alright, it's back now.
I suppose I checked too early yesterday and it hadn't come back yet.

No pictures, but I finally went out on a dirt collecting journey.
Got enough dirt to level out a lot of the front of the school grounds,
and set a definitive border for the front gate.

The school ground have some kind of definition!
Still need to get TONS more dirt to level it all, including building my soccer field/track and the baseball field,
but it's finally starting to feel like a complete complex, not just a lone building.

The cornerposts are up!

So I'm planning on getting back to minecraft nowadays, and figured I might as well start something.
Announcing project Sprial City!

The Goals:
Spoiler:
>To design and build a large Mansion/Military Fort, (up in the air, leaning towards fort, will call Centerpiece from here on out) approx. 100x100 blocks, not including any grounds.
> To make a basic road system leading out of Centerpiece, including 4 main roads and 4 secondary roads, leading fairly far out.
Spoiler:
>Build small houses around Centerpiece, allowing room for future lanes and side-streets.
Spoiler:
>Build another section of small houses around first group.
>Make a sewer system at about y=35 linking up Section 1 houses and Centerpiece.
>Begin improvements on section 1 houses
Spoiler:
>Continue phase 3's plans as expansion method
>Destroy and merge properties every 3 Sections back when you make new ones (at 3, go back and merge 1 properties, at 4, go back to 2, at 5, to 3, etc)
That's all the planning for now.
I'm thinking about it being in the foresty area around x=1800, z=-1500.

Who is willing to help me make this idea a reality?
(and yes, I was inspired by Central from FMAB)

I can't help, I've still got years worth of wrok on my school, including my current Quest for Infinite Dirt.
After that, I'm going to make a simple bridge.
Then, after that, I have something far more ambitious than a simple bridge.

I feel as though "simple bridge" is code for something.

Nope, no code.
I actually have wanted to make a nice bridge of my own for a while now that goes from near my anime eyes sign straight across
the water to the northern continent.
It'll be a simple arch bridge of cobblestone, stone brick, and maybe some other stone type as accents.

Something like this... only long enough to span the waterway I just described.
Image
I think they look nice, and it'll be a nice way to reach the northern continent that we currently have no buildings on.
I do plan on building on the northern continent once I span a bridge across, but the bridge itself will be casual.
After finishing the high school, I'll need a nice, casual project.
The hardest part of the bridge will actually be the underwater support structures.
I do plan on having them touch ocean bottom, but luckily the enchantments on my helmet help a bit.
But, at the end of the day, it'll be a cozy bridge to ride a horse across, maybe 5-8 blocks wide.
Something like that.

Now, the thing I have planned AFTER the bridge, THAT will be another ambitious and crazy project.
But the bridge, it'll just be fun and relaxing to build cmpared to my other grand scale projects.

Sounds nice. I'm excited but terrified at my own idea, but I think it'll be OK. I'm gonna spend the next week or so designing Centerpiece, so I won't begin for a while.

Anime High School Progress Report.

Landscaping and terraforming the front courtyard continues and it is estimated aproximately 2200 dirt would complete the task.
That said, it is actually about 3/4 complete or more, which goes to show exactly how much earth I have moved to level the ground.

On the fun front, I have tamed and captured another pure white horse inside of the school.
The new horse is now called Uma-kun, and can be currently differentiated from Horse-sensei by the lack of horse armor.
The lack of nametags prevents these names from being official, but they are official in my head.
If anyone has a spare nametag to donate to my horses, it would be much appreciated.

Mihama Koukou will be completed!

After playing around in creative, trying to conceive a much simpler guardian farm than draining half an ocean,
I have figured out how to build a Nether portal underwater.

You can make it as tall as you want, up to the maximum, but it has to be the standard 4 blocks wide.

Step 1: Build the frame. As I just said, you can make it as tall as you want, but needs to be 4 blocks wide only.
Build it around the Ocean Monument or under it.
Naturally you'll want to kill the Elder Guardians first to make the rest possible.

Step 2: Fill the entire empty space of the frame with cobblestone.

Step 3: Line the edges of both sides of the frame, front and back, with more cobblestone.

Step 4: Place signs along the entire inside of the cobblestone on both side so that water is blocked from touching the middle.

Step 5: Break all the cobblestone that fills the Nether Portal frame.

Step 6: Light the portal. With the signs blocking the water, you can now use fire underwater.

Step 7: Break the remaining cobblestone that holds up all those signs. The actual portal itself now holds back the water.

Go into the Nether and figure out your coordinates.
Build a base inside the Nether, as now guardians will occassionally swim into the Nether through the portal.
It's slow going, but I figure if you build enough of these underwater portals, guardians will arrive in the Nether at a good pace.
You can now have an easier time fighting guardians on dry land, and you can even tunnel from the ocean portals to a portal
that was made at your dry land base, never having to step foot into the water to fight guardians again.
Still a bit of a task, but it's loads easier than attempting to remove all the water from a massive area to farm guardians otherwise.

I hope I'm not late to the party with this underwater Nether Portal idea.
