I think you misunderstand, if it is the only monster on the FIELD, there is no monster to destroy with its effect. Hence its effect cannot resolve. You can still use it if it is the only monster on YOUR SIDE of the field.

it is really quite simple...

for jinzo and that anoyingly large bird you have several options to choose from....

you could use effect monsters for them both... like exiled force or ddwl... or now that assailant is back these are my main choices.... but if you want to get technical with it

when horus or jinzo is on the field i always prefer the combo speciall summon cyber tribute for zaborg or flipping an old school man eater bug on somebody just to see their reaction lol

dealing with these kind of monsters is all about how you set your side deck up

pulling the rug is one of the best counter traps to use on both jinzo and horus

considering it destroys the monster.... and its spell speed is faster than the effect speed of jinzo.... it takes care of both

so there you go

oh and somebody plz go in and rate my deck and make a fix if you see that you can

horus ain't a bird, how dare you!

Anyway, there is an EASY way to pwn both of em' and help you at the same time, morphing jar #2, thats all there is to it.

 Set Divine Wrath, then activate a spell/trap card (depends on whether it's Jinzo or Horus, if it's Hourus, activate spell) Horus's effect activates, but use Divine Wrath to negate the effect and destroy Horus!

well i play a combo that gets both jinzo and horus 8 out in one turn, and there are quite simple ways to beat them. i think people overlook exiled force, or man-eater bug/old vindictive magician. another way is to summon cyber dragon and offer it for i think its zaborg monarch (whichever one destroys a monster on the field when it is tribute summoned) and destroy horus. now you have a monster to match jinzo, both with 2400 atk.

Vozzman knows this combo well, i have to deal with it all the time when we duel, i usually use treeborn, sac him for either Raiza or Zaborg target horus and suicide with jinzo. it may leave me wide open but with jinzo and horus gone i can defend with my S/T cards. then my next turn treeborn is back and tribute for (insert Monarch) and the vicious cycle continues

however if you get them both out late when your opponent has used all of their best effect monsters then they can be in trouble....but odds are that will never happen.

simple tech really.....

you get rid of horus and ctrl jinzo! what a great table turner!
