Tier 1 decks post March 1st Banlist

Postby rampage42 » Thu Feb 11, 2010 12:22 pm

This thread was created to discuss what everyone thinks will be the top tier decks next format. Keep in mind the potential limiting of lightsworn, and zombies. In my opinion I think these will be the dominating decks next format.

1) Gladiator beasts
2) Blackwings
3) Absolute zero chaos variant
4) Gravekeepers
5) some crazy LS build

I wouldn't put Twilight in the graveyard just yet. Losing DAD hurts them, but they still have all the other guys plus another choas now.

Here are my predictions:

1) Gladiator beasts/Absolute zero/GB variants
2) Blackwings
3) X Sabers
4) Kristya-Sworn
5) Twilight

I think Fortune Ladies will go Tier 2 now. Fortune Ladies were designed to be anti-meta from the ground up. Their field spell messes pretty hard with GBs. At the Ancient Prophecy sneak peek a guy had built a fortune lady deck and played his buddy's GB deck. 2-0'd it. Future Visions shuts down their contact fusion. Great tech card against them maybe.

I think the Dominating decks will be:

1)X-Sabers
2)GB Varients
3)A Zero Varients/Destiny End Varients
4)Blackwings
5)Splashsworn
6)Twilight/Chaos Varients

Stun always will work. And with the limiting of OTK options, Control sounds even more viable.

ASSUMING THAT LIST BEFORE WAS TRUE!

1) X-Sabers
2) Glad Beasts
3) Blackwings
4) Twilight
5) Some kind of dark deck that will take advantage of Crush
6)Skill Drain/Oppression decks ( I will say right now my plant skill drain deck crushes Glads and sabers)
7) Infernities (minimum tier 1.5)

This is my gurantee 1.5 and up list under the assumption. If the banlist is true I am highly confident in those decks, you could say "100%?"

I refuse to acknowledge Absolute Zero until I can get some confirmation on when its legal, unless someone knows smtg I don't

There is a shonen jump coming up in Nashville, if we see him in the extra deck that will be the final say. I could email konami but world peace may break out before they respond.

what good is it to guess if we don't know the list is legitimate

I think it's annoying they've destroyed zombies
I haven't played much this format, but it seems that they haven't done anything that would deserve total annhiliation

I don't know why konami hates them so badly. They set them up for a great format and then crush them immediately. How many times have they done that now? I guess zombies aren't teacher's pet. It really makes no sense whatsoever.

I went and picked up a 3rd gold sarc today because the stupid price is going to go up daily.

Seriously. Take a look at this link. I'm not kidding guys. I checked this exact same link this morning and the card was 25.99, now it's over 30. I grabbed one up at 25 as quick as I could.

I think one of my friends is going to it with his.... Pig-disgusting... Hopeless Dragon deck. I'll ask him if he sees anyone using it there.

But my guesses are:
1.) Blackwings
2.) Gladiator Beasts
3.) Something built to abuse the Viruses
4.) X/XX-Sabers
5.) Gravekeeper's

Let's face it, even if Black Whirlwind is Semi-Limited, Blackwings are gonna regain that speed when The Shining Darkness launches. Gladiators are going to hit Tier 1 almost definitely if this is the real list. If Crush Card Virus comes back, you had better watch the hell out, because I'm building a Virus deck. X-Saber and XX-Saber builds are getting good now, they might be Konami's new pet Archetype. And look at this! With Absolute Powerforce, Gravekeeper's actually have a heavy hitter!

my only concern is honest getting semi'd/limited/possibly banned (i wish!)
The people have spoken! 'Viva la resistance!'
Carl, you pushed the resistance leader into a giant fan.
He was a traitor and a scoundrel!
He was trying to stop you from pushing other people into a giant fan!

It appears that Zero is now legal, but don't quote me on it. you could say "no decisive evidence?"
