Wallace's Strategic Library

OK, so, here's an idea I've had for a while.
This is (going to be) a list of decks/archetypes, their win conditions, and the main cards for that.
Here's and example:

Deck Name
Win Condition: Explained here, in 1-2 sentences, not in italics

Crucial Cards:
-Are listed here,
-With a brief 1-sentence
-For explanation

A
Spoiler:
Win Condition: Maintains card advantage via the discarding of Atlantean monsters, made possible by the discard costs/summoning conditions of the Mermail monsters, which are used to push for an OTK.

Crucial Cards:
- Atlantean Dragoons (Adds a Sea-Serpent from Deck to hand)
- Atlantean Heavy Infantry (Destroys face-up cards)
- Atlantean Marksman (Destroys set cards)
- Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince (discards an Atlantean from deck to add another to hand. Also summons an Atlantean if tributed for a water monsters effect).
- Mermail Abyssmegalo (Summoned via discarding two water monsters from your hand, proceeds to search an Abyss Spell/Trap. Can also be used for a quick OTK if a water monster, such as Neptabyss, is tributed).
B
Spoiler:
Win Condition: Use Spells, Traps, and Xyz to establish field control, then use main Xyz to attack an open field.

Crucial Cards
- Battlin' Boxer Headgeared (Can send Counterpunch to the grave to boost for game or Glassjaw to recover)
- Battlin' Boxer Shadow (Allows for explosive turns with multiple Xyz)
- Battlin' Boxer Sparrer (Provides easy summon of controling Xyz, like Castel or No.101)
- Battlin' Boxer Veil (Protects and establishes advantage)
- Rank-Up-Magic cards (Allows for more powerful field control)
- Controlling Xyz (101, Castel, even 103. Anything that clears the field for a big attack)
- In-archetype Xyz (Allow for heavy hits against a clear field)
R
Spoiler:
Win Condition: Uses search cards to consistently Xyz summon for field advantage, then uses Rank-Up-Magic spells to summon its own extremely powerful Xyz bosses.

Crucial Cards:
- Raidraptor - Tribute Lanius (Sends Mimicry or Fuzzy to grave to search)
- Raidraptor - Mimicry Lanius (Provides search power when sent to the grave.)
- Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius (Provides quick summon of Force Strix and search power)
- Raidraptor - Force Strix (Provides a base for Rank-Ups, and impressive search power.)
- Rank-Up-Magic Astral&Soul Shave Force (These are the main Rank-Ups to use, since they go up 2 at a time.
- Swallow's Nest (Get multiple RRs out in one turn to use all the effects)
- Icarus Attack (Used Xyz can be tributed with this to gain advantage)
I figured that this could be a good way to show people how a deck works without telling them every detail of what to run.
Comment one below and I'll add it in. :D

Just build a wall of floodgates.
And make the OCG pay for it!

Mermail/Atlantean, my take on it would be.

Win Condition: Maintains card advantage via the discarding of Atlantean monsters, made possible by the discard costs/summoning conditions of the Mermail monsters.

Crucial Cards:

- Atlantean Heavy Infantry (Destroys face-up cards)

- Mermail Abyssmegalo (Summoned via discarding two water monsters from your hand, proceeds to search an Abyss Spell/Trap. Can also be used for a quick OTK if a water monster, such as Neptabyss, is tributed).

btw you know we do have a guide section for this type of thing? Kinda wish to see Guide forums picking up again. Also there we focus on each archtype and go into detail. so this is kind of not needed no offense.

Right, because that isn't the win condition for every single deck ever.

Control decks beg to differ.

Also wasn't your win condition just as vague? Is there any deck that thrives on having less cards than your opponent?

Bujins w/ Kaiser Colosseum?

Oh, really? I had no idea.
This is different than a full guide. Just the surface strategy of a deck and a few cards. If you're semi-interested in a deck, say, Raidraptors, you might want a simple breakdown before you invest the time in reading an entire guide. I know that I would have found this more helpful when I got into the game than a full guide.
So I made this. Not a guide, just a quick-reference for curiosity and side-decking.

You still want more in your hand though, card advantage doesn't just cover the field

Yeah, true. Probably the closest though.
