Endarkenment Paladin

So this guy is pretty good if you are able to get him out using a "magician" monster as one of its materials. I want to run him in my deck (think spellcasters/spell counters/arcanite magician) but I dont know how to incorporate pendulums as I have never used them before (and dont care to, except for this instance).

So what cards should I use so he is viable? Minimum effective change is ideal
