1 - Intoduction
The whole idea of the Photon and Galaxy cards is a pretty simple one. Get any 2 or more monsters above 2000 attack points, then tribute for the main monster thought of when Galaxy is said, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. Granted, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon has couple of forms. Some requiring the Dragon for it's effects to be resolved, others just for extra level 8 material.

2 - Photon Monsters
EFFECT
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Machine/Level 1
0 ATK/0 DEF
Once per turn: You can target 1 other "Photon" monster you control; the Levels of both that monster and this card become the combined current Levels of those 2 monsters.
While this monster may be weak in terms of points, it definitely makes up for it in it's ability. It can combine levels with any Photon monster, opening up so many XYZ possibilities. Run 2
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Fiend/Level 1
300 ATK/200 DEF
During either player's turn: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard and pay 2000 Life Points; you take no damage this turn. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can send 1 "Photon" monster from your hand to the Graveyard, except "Kuriphoton"; add this card from your Graveyard to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Kuriphoton" once per turn.
So. Basically what your telling me is, it's the modified damage verison of kuriboh? With a 2000 life point cost? I think not. Run 0
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Beast/Level 3
1300 ATK/600 DEF
During the turn this card was Normal Summoned, neither player can activate Trap Cards while this card is face-up on the field.
Not bad for a second turn start, but other then that it's only got 1300 ATK and a whopping 600 DEF. Pretty situational IMO. Run 0-1. Odds are, you are going to want the room and tend to go with 0.
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Dragon/Level 3
900 ATK/1200 DEF
You can Tribute this card; add 1 Level 4 or lower "Photon" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use the effect of "Photon Lizard" once per turn.
This card is amazing. It easily searches Thrasher, which can then be special summoned. (assuming you're opening first turn of Lizard was you're only monster) Run 3
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Machine/Level 3
1000 ATK/1000 DEF
You can banish 1 "Photon" monster from your Graveyard; this card gains 1000 ATK until the End Phase. You can use the effect of "Photon Pirate" up to twice per turn.
Now here is a modified version of Reinforced Human Psychic Borg. He can gain 1000 more attack points in a turn, but only lasts until the End Phase. Overall, not bad, but not really tremendous mention needed. Run 0-1 based on preference
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Beast/Level 3
2000 ATK/300 DEF
When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: You can add 1 "Photon Sabre Tiger" from your Deck to your hand. If you do not control another "Photon Sabre Tiger", this card loses 800 ATK.
Ok. Now I'm torn on this card. It's good ONLY if you have 2. If you have 1, it loses 800 attack points, which can be very bad in dire situations. Run 0 or 2. Never run just 1.
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Warrior/Level 4
1000 ATK/1000 DEF
Once per turn: You can double this card’s original ATK until your next Standby Phase. This card cannot attack during the turn you activate this effect.
Hmm. Not bad for attacking. Also not bad for a combo Thrasher into Galaxy Eyes. However, pretty low on base attack points, and the change last until the End Phase only. Run 0-1
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Spellcaster/Level 4
1000 ATK/1000 DEF
Any Battle Damage you take from battles involving this card is halved.
Not bad if you set it. It's a good way to deal with piercing damage. But other then that, it's only 1000 attack and defense points. Run 0-1 based on preference.
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Warrior/Level 4
2000 ATK/0 DEF
If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Damage Step.
Really good opener. It's got a whopping 2000 attack points, but gets changed to defense mode(which it has 0 points of) when it attacks. Run 1-2
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Warrior/Level 4
2100 ATK/0 DEF
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) while you control no monsters. If you control another monster, this card cannot attack.
Even better opener. Not only can you normal summon afterwords, but it has more attack then Crusher! However, the power comes at a cost. It can't attack if it's not the only monster on your field. Still great card overall. Run 3
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Warrior/Level 5
2100 ATK/1000 DEF
If a face-up Xyz Monster is on the field, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in face-up Defense Position.
Not really all that great. It works quite well with Satellite if your opponent loves XYZ monsters. Opens up Rank 6 plays. Other then that, it does have 2100 attack points... same as LEVEL 4 Thrasher.. Run 1
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Beast/Level 6
2100 ATK/1100 DEF
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can have your opponent shuffle their entire hand into the Deck, then they draw the same number of cards as they shuffled into the Deck.
And yet again, 2100 attack just like Thrasher. And this one is level 6! Leo could do better. Granted, he is the only level 6 Photon OR galaxy monster, so if you want those Rank 7's plays, run 1. No Rank 7's? No Leo.
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Dragon/Level 7
2500 ATK/2000 DEF
When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: Destroy all Set cards your opponent controls.
Not too bad for a level 7. The effect only targets Set cards, making backrows gone when this card is summoned. However, it doesn't entirely fir in with the deck theme. And beside, tributing 2 monsters is Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon's thing. Run 0. (1 if daring, but normally stick to 0)
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Warrior/Level 8
2000 ATK/2800 DEF
When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Photon Caesar" from your hand or Deck.
Amazing if you need 2 extra level 8's on the field. Very easy Rank 8 summons. Run 2
FUSION
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Dragon/Level 6
2400 ATK/2000 DEF
2 "Photon" Monsters
You can Tribute this face-up card on the field; Special Summon, from your Graveyard, both of the Fusion Material Monsters used for the Fusion Summon of this card.

Only requiring 2 photon monsters, then being able to bring them back, this card is pretty much a pure Photon deck staple. Run 1
RITUAL
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Dragon/Level 4
1900 ATK/800 DEF
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Luminous Dragon Ritual". You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" from your hand or Deck. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: Draw 1 card.
IMO, it's not bad. It can search and summon Photon Dragon, which is nice. Also not too shabby on attack either. Run 0-1 based on preference.
XYZ
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Warrior/Rank 4
2400 ATK/1200 DEF
2 Level 4 "Butterspy" monsters
You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; return all monsters on the field to the hand, then inflict 300 damage to each player for each card returned to their hand.

Needing 2 Butterspy monsters make you wonder, why give it a photon name? Run 0.
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Warrior/Rank 4
2100 ATK/1500 DEF
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Defense Position monster on the field; change it to face-up Attack Position, and if you do, it loses 600 ATK.

Not bad for a Rank 4 but doesn't fit it with Photon's. I you're in need of generic Rank 4's put 1 in but otherwise, run 0.
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Warrior/Rank 6
2700 ATK/2000 DEF
2 Level 6 monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a monster effect is activated on your opponent's side of the field: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate that effect, and if you do, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.

Amazing Rank 6. 2700 attack points and not having summon restrictions make it exceptional. 1 thing. Only run 1 if you are running Slasher. Otherwise you will have no way of getting 2 level 6's out.
2.1 - Photon Spell/Traps
SPELLS
Spoiler:
Image
Quickplay
Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower LIGHT monster from your hand in face-up Attack Position.
Very good photon summoner. Brings out any level 4 or lower photon monster like pirate and still have the normal summon left. Run 1-2
Spoiler:
Image
Normal
Target 1 face-up Level 4 or lower LIGHT monster on the field, except a Token; all face-up monsters on the field with its name become 2000 ATK until the End Phase.
Really bad IMO. It can only target the same names, and lasts until the End Phase. Run 0
Spoiler:
Image
Quickplay
Basically Rush Recklessly for Photons, only better. Gets piercing and destroys a spell or trap after damage. Run 1-3. (normally either 1 or 2 but some decks side the last one)
Spoiler:
Image
Normal
Special Summon 2 "Photon Tokens" (Thunder-Type/LIGHT/Level 4/ATK 2000/DEF 0) in Defense Position. These Tokens cannot attack or be used as Synchro Material Monsters. You cannot Summon other monsters the turn you activate this card, except for LIGHT monsters.
Insanely easy way to get Photon Dragon or Photon Caesar out. Run 2-3
Spoiler:
Image
Normal
Shuffle 3 LIGHT monsters from your hand into the Deck, then add 1 to 3 Level 4 or lower LIGHT monsters from your Deck to the hand. If you add 2 or more monsters, they must have the same name.
If it wasn't the restrcition for 2 or more you'd run this. But the restriction makes this card a DEFINITE 0.
Spoiler:
Image
Quick-Play
If you control a "Galaxy-Eyes" monster: Target 1 card on the field; banish that target.
If you do not control "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", you can only activate this card during your turn.

We all know what this was based off. This is pretty good if you have a Galaxy focus instead of a Photon focus. Run 1.
TRAPS
Spoiler:
Image
Normal
When a face-up LIGHT Dragon-Type monster you control is targeted for an attack: The attack target gains ATK equal to the attacking monster's ATK, until the end of the Damage Step.
This card is the Honest of traps, for Photon Wyvern, Lizard, and Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon. Works extremely well with Twin Photon Lizard as well. Run 1-3 based on how much room in deck there is.
2.2 - Galaxy Monsters
NORMAL
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Dragon/Level 2
Your hopes and dreams will be refreshed if you catch a glimpse of this rare creature in the evening twilight, soaring in the Sea of Stars
Only thing it has going for it is the tuner factor. Other then that, run 0
EFFECT
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Spellcastor/Level 3
0 ATK/800 DEF
FLIP: Gain 500 Life Points for each "Galaxy" monster in your Graveyard.
After this card is flipped face-up, when it is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Galaxy" monster from your Deck or Graveyard in face-down Defense Position. If you do, banish it when it leaves the field.

This is a good card for later in the game. Other then that, pretty weak. Run 0-1 depending on if you care about life points
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Dragon/Level 4
2000 ATK/1200 DEF
This card can only attack Dragon-Type monsters.
If this card battles a Dragon-Type monster, that monster's effects are negated during the Battle Phase only, also this card gains 1000 ATK during the Damage Step only.

So despite the monster's high attack stat, it's effect really itsn't that good. If you run DNA Surgery and Poly with Five Headed Dragon, then maybe otherwise, run 0.
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Spellcaster/Level 4
0 ATK/1800 DEF
Once per turn: You can increase this card's Level by 4 until the End Phase. You can Tribute this card; add 1 "Galaxy" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Galaxy Wizard".
Great card then can either search a Galaxy monster or double it's level. Makes for some great comboes with Photon Caesar for 3 level 8's. Run 2
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Warrior/Level 8
2800 ATK/2600 DEF
If you control a "Photon" or "Galaxy" monster, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. When you do: Target 1 "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" in your Graveyard (if possible); regardless, this card loses 1000 ATK, and if it does, Special Summon that target (if any) in face-up Defense Position. This ATK decrease lasts until the End Phase.
Definitly not too shabby of a monster. Not only can it deal a good hit, it also can revive your Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon. Great if it's late game. Run 1-2
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Dinosaur/Level 8
2000 ATK/0 DEF
When a "Galaxy" monster you control is targeted for an attack: You can Special Summon this card from your hand in face-up Defense Position. When you do: You can Xyz Summon a "Galaxy" Xyz Monster using "Galaxy" monsters you control only.
This card is really good if you need some extra protection from attacks. The ability to XYZ summon during your opponents attack helps the deck alot. Run 1 at least. (More if you want, but 1 is really necessary)
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Dragon/Level 8
3000 ATK/2500 DEF
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by Tributing 2 monsters with 2000 or more ATK. During either player's Battle Step, when this card battles an opponent's monster: You can target the monster this card is battling; banish both it and this card. At the end of the Battle Phase, return any monsters banished by this effect to the field, and if the other monster was an Xyz Monster, this card gains 500 ATK for each Xyz Material it had when it was banished.
Ok. So many things about this card. 1) It's the main monster. 2) It's effect is amazing both strategically and offensively. 3) It has little to no repercussions. 4) Run 1-2. You only need 1 but 2 can help.
XYZ
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Dragon/Rank 8
4500 ATK/3000 DEF
3 Level 8 monsters
When this card is Xyz Summoned using "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" as any of its Materials: Negate the effects of all other face-up cards currently on the field. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; detach all Xyz Materials from monsters your opponent controls, then this card gains 500 ATK for each, also it can attack up to that many times during each Battle Phase this turn.

While this card seems godly, it can only use it's first effect if you used normal Galaxy-Eyes as an overlay unit. Other then that, amazing card. Run however many you have Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragons you run.
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Dragon/Rank 8
4000 ATK/3000 DEF
2 Level 8 monsters
If this card attacks or is attacked, during damage calculation (in either player's turn): You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card once per battle; this card gains ATK equal to the total Ranks of all face-up Xyz Monsters currently on the field x 200, during that damage calculation only.
If this card is destroyed by your opponent's card effect while it has "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" as an Xyz Material: You can activate this effect; Special Summon this card during your 2nd Standby Phase after activation, and if you do, double its ATK.
If this card does not have "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" as an Xyz Material, any battle damage your opponent takes from battles involving this card is halved.

Very good for a beatstick and has an exceptional effect. Run 1 -2 depending on room.
2.3 - Galaxy Spell/Traps
SPELLS
Spoiler:
Image
Normal
If you control a "Galaxy" Xyz Monster: Discard 1 card; draw 2 cards. If you activate this card, halve all damage your opponent takes for the rest of this turn. You can only activate 1 "Galactic Charity" per turn.
It's basically a worse form of Cardcar D. I personally run 0. And that's how many you should run.
Spoiler:
Image
Normal
If you control a Level 5 or higher "Photon" or "Galaxy" monster: Special Summon 1 Level 5 or higher "Photon" or "Galaxy" monster from your Deck in face-up Defense Position. You can only activate 1 "Galaxy Expedition" per turn.
If you have a high level Photon of Galaxy Monster, in late man's terms, you search Galaxy Eyes (if its in the deck). Run 1-2.
Spoiler:
Image
Equip
Target 1 "Photon" or "Galaxy" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position and equip it with this card. It cannot attack or activate its effects. If it would be destroyed during the Battle Phase, you can destroy this card instead. When this card leaves the field: The equipped monster's ATK becomes 0. You can only activate 1 "Galaxy Zero" per turn.
Monster Reborn for Photon and Galaxy. Who deosn't love Monster Reborn? Run 2-3. (depending on how much room you have)
2.4 - Tachyon Cards
XYZ
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Dragon/Rank 8
3000 ATk/2500 DEF
2 Level 8 monsters
Once per Battle Phase, at the start of your Battle Phase: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the effects of all other face-up monsters currently on the field, also their ATK and DEF become their original ATK and DEF, and if you do any of these, during the Battle Phase this turn, each time an opponent's card effect resolves, this card gains 1000 ATK until the end of the Battle Phase, also, it can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn.

This card is relatively easy to get out for these guys, and has a great effect. Run 1 (2 if have extra space, which you won't)
Spoiler:
Image
LIGHT/Dragon/Rank 9
4500 ATK/3000 DEF
3 Level 9 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; the effects of all other face-up cards currently on the field are negated until this turn ends, also your opponent cannot activate cards' effects on the field this turn.
If this card has "Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect.
● During your Main Phase 1: You can Tribute 2 monsters, except this card; this card can make up to three attacks on a monster(s) during each Battle Phase this turn.

Very good follow up to Number 107, however, slows deck down. Run 1 if you have room, otherwise leave the Rank Up spells and this out.
TRAPS
Spoiler:
Image
When a "Galaxy" Xyz Monster you control is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle with an opponent's attacking monster, or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Destroy all face-up cards your opponent controls, and if you do, banish the destroyed cards.
During your Draw Phase, instead of conducting your normal draw: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 "Galaxy" Xyz Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target.

Very good card in my opinion. I personally run 2, but others do not agree. Run based on preference.
Spoiler:
Image
If you control a "Galaxy-Eyes" monster: Negate the activation of all your opponent's Spell Cards, Trap Cards, and monster effects in the same Chain, and if you do, shuffle into the Deck(s) all cards on the field whose activations were negated by this effect.
If you control a "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" monster, you can activate this card from your hand.

this card has 2 amazing effects. 1, negate cards, 2, activate from hand. Run 1-2

But his name is PHOTON Dragon.
The "Galaxy" just lets the galaxy cards work with him. If you look here, then he is listed as being of the photon archetype.

It's actually not hard to make rank 5-7 with Satellite combos. Machine Duplication works well here.

Summon Satellite
Machine Dupe Satellite
Special Summon Thrasher
Satellite #1 makes Thrasher and itself level 5
Satellite #2 makes Thrasher and itself level 6
Satellite #3 makes Thrasher and itself level 7

There's many options here, and you could go into a lot of ranks.

Machine Dupe-able targets that could be run: Satellite, Orbital 7 (which you forgot in your guide), Cyber Valley.
The deck is very combo-esque, but it's actually a lot of fun.

Anyways, great guide. Keep it up :)

I was going to include Orbital in outside cards, because it had neither Photon nor Galaxy in the name lol.
