Anyone planning on going to this? It's not until February, but I'm going to try my best to get there(plus I have some family that lives in Texas so that's more incentive for me to go as well :D ). If I go, I'll see if Ult Solemn wants to catch a ride with me.

I might go.
That's considering I decide that I want to take the drive there, and that I have the money to enter lying around.
Also that I want to. I don't know anyone that's going, and going to a YCS alone isn't the greatest experience.

Yep, it's way too early to be making predictions about this.
Who cares?

Top 32 predicitons:
13 Six Samurai
6 Plant Synchro
4 Blackwings
4 Gravekeeper's
3 X-Sabers
2 Random

I think you may have a few too few Six Samurai.

The 2 "randoms" and possibly the 2 X-Sabers could also be Sams.
Two reasons I didn't put Sams over 50%:
-The event is only 4 days after STOR becomes legal, and only a week after the sneak peek. Similar to Pot of Duality's smaller-than-usual showing at Toronto, I'm thinking there might be a bit of a supply and demand issue.
-Just looking at Shriek's tournament reports, I'm seeing about 50-60% Six Samurai and 40-50% "other" (Debris-Dandy, Black Feather, Machiner's Gadget, Dragunity, Angel). Although 2 of the "other" decks are currently OCG-exclusive, which should probably account for something =/

The Six Samurai decks in the Feature Matches are drawing either horribly or amazingly, no in between.
No one has been running Upstart Goblin, triple Gandmaster and Magatama abound, and random techs are all over the place. As expected.
Attention TCG players: stop trying to make Zanji happen. It's not going to happen.

Also the Karakuri deck that they profiled failed hard. But then again, what do you expect when you try to run 8 tuners in a deck that only needs 4?

In other news, Roy St. Clair knows how to run X-Sabers.

Really ive been skipping over the Six Sams matchtes and most of the matches as well. I read Roy St. Claires Match, but that wasn't Six Sams and actually was a good match to read. Also for once they are not profiling crazy decks. Okay 1 so far exodia and that got recked in the face hard. Psychic Gadgets seems really interesting and would like to try my own version of it too. And getting fed up with the "Honorable" in the feature match title. Just because they are playing Six Samurai's doesn't make them honorable, it makes them rich.

Tele-Gadget has been around since the Tele-DAD format...
It's basically standard Gadget Stun, -2 tech monsters, -1 Fissure/Smashing Ground/Whatever, +1 Krebons, +1 Psychic Commander, +1 E-Teleport.

Is it me or are the Samurai Players HORRIBLE.

Anyway, from what I saw from Top 16:
8 Six Sams
5 Blackwings
1 Monarch
1 Gravekeeper
1 Lightsworn

... Wow, Not a single X-Saber in sight.

Yeah, given that St. Clair was the ONLY one running them that got profiled, I am not surprised. The odds were against him. Maybe Emmersblade will go down now and I can finally get a set of 2-3 (I'm hoping it'll down to 40-30, then I can get 3 with my tax return next week).

There were still 3 in the top 32.
And Emmersblade is actually more likely to go up, as he is almost needed at 3 now.
Sorry.

Because everyone is wanting to play them, oh my god they're so good and broken, and not everyone knows how to play.
They don't actually do some research or anything, they just want other people to say that they are running one hell of a good archtype.
