Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Anaheim

Post by What Goes On » Thu Mar 24, 2011 3:34 pm

This is only a few weeks away.
This should be a very critical event for the early format meta.
Top 16 predictions?
Hopefully, this will be the event where Billy "Can't Catch a" Brake can finally pull it out.

Isn't it Paris first?

I could be wrong though.

No, Anaheim comes a week earlier.
Besides, Europe and North America usually have different metas.

I'll be going to this one. Part of me wants to do well, part of me doesn't want me to.

If I do well, then cool. Downside is that people everywhere will start to convert to playing Hero Gate if I top... Then there'll be sides for it everywhere.

Except Milan vs. Atlanta, where the only difference was that the standard GK build hadn't made it to Europe in time for Milan.
They tend to have more creative stuff topping though. And they actually understand the brokeness of Vayu Turbo in Europe.

Top 32 prediction:
8 Gravekeeper's
5 Six Samurai
5 Fish
3 X-Saber
3 Hero Beat
2 Flamvell
2 Chaos Plant
1 Karakuri
1 Blackwings
1 Vayu Turbo
1 Dragunity

This time I going to accept that there would be so much Gravekeepers.

2 Dragunity is possible, but if you expect more than that then I think you overestimate the deck.
If 4 happens, it'll be sheer luck/popularity.

And I think Empty Jar will top again before Nordics sees the top 32.

Graveyard Blackwings isn't broken, it's just very good. Why can't a very good deck which is appropriate for the format top once in awhile?
If you really don't understand how the deck works, it's not hard to find a build on shriek to playtest.

I doubt there will be that many miracle gemini. Remember that it's just light beat with The Shining in the extra. 2 is probably the most you'll see, especially with GK's running around.

I want to see that Counter Gadget build. 7 Sam's so far and the other build I want to see is that Anti-Monster build.
