Can't get rid of it

Been dieting, taking brand name weight loss pills, and working out.

Can't get rid of my gut. Been doing this for almost 3 months and have only lost a inch, maybe 2.

I'm not concerned that I weigh more than I did when I started, after all muscle weighs more than fat. But come on, I started all this to get rid of my gut.

Well first off, knock off those weight loss pills.
Pure garbage that does nothing good for you.
Your body naturally does all it needs to do to lose weight.
Also, if you've lost 2 inches, that's not bad for only 3 months.
Exercise isn't about instant results, it's long term goals.
As for losing the actual gut, it depends on what exercises you do.
The ones for toning muscle aren't necessarily designed to burn fat.
I don't know what exercises you're doing, but look it up, make sure you've got a good exercise routine for your end goal.
Last thing I can think of is to periodically expand your routine.
Run longer, do more sets, etc.
If you don't increase the exercises you're doing, your body will adjust and it'll be less efficient.
When whatever you're doing starts to get easy, make it harder.

The issue may be your metabolism, try looking into foods that help.
