Newer Structure Deck Opinions: Is them being good, good?

Post by Rowwdy Yisb » Sun Mar 10, 2013 1:59 pm

I like the idea of good decks being cheaper than prophecy so their available to everyone, but maybe it's a little ridiculous that they can become a tier one deck when released. I know no YCS winning deck can be made just out of the SD cards themselves, but I personally think they should be nerfed a little. The perfect balance for me was the machina mayhem, was good and contained a good reprint of other cards like d prison, but not every player would want to go pick up the deck.

What do you guys think?

I like the way the Structure decks are now tbh. The last two were consitent archetype + theme decks similar to Machina MAyhem like you mentioned which keeps the decks balanced unlike Dragons Collide which focused on a staight theme which led to the destruction of a format.

The last two decks had the key cards of Tier 1 decks just like Dragon's Collide...?

Structure decks being good is fine. The problem is Konami just doesnt know how to show restraint when it comes to card design in general. That or they just dont want to show restraint.

Also dragons collide didnt ruin a format since the format was already terrible. Dragons collide certainly didnt help though.
