Missing Structures

Let's talk about the various starter decks and structure decks that are available.

As I am sitting here now, it occurred to me that
there has never been a Plant-Type theme for a structure deck yet.
Now, I was going to make this thread strictly about missing
a Plant theme, but while going over the list of structure decks,
it also occurred to me we lack a Psychic structure.
I know they have only existed since 5Ds, but that is old now
and yet all this time they have been ignored.
Plants I feel is an even bigger injustice since they have always been around.
Even worse considering there have been major characters (at least 1 off the top of my head)
that have focused on Plant-Type monsters.
A "Rose" Deck with some new monsters and support would be nice.
Looking again, it seems we are also lacking an Insect deck.

Now, one might say they only release structures for popular themes,
but how can a theme become popular if they fail to release them in sets?
Early on in the game, they seemed to be on a mission to release structure
decks for every conceivable Type, but then suddenly just stopped.

Now I like Dragons as much as the next person, but they've had 6 structures already
(5, plus Dragunity which was half Dragons, half Winged Beasts).
Where's the balance for certain themes?
Are Konami or Kazuki Takahashi just incapable of making a decent Plant theme, or is there one, like "Rose", they fail to capitalize upon?
What else is missing in the land of themed structure decks?
What would you throw down money to get if it had some new support?

I mean they made a rock and (practically) sea serpent decks, I think they could definitely squeeze in plant

They not only made a Sea Serpent/Atlantean deck, but also did a WATER themed one early on with a Sea Serpent boss.
So that is already TWO aquatic decks to zero for Plants, Insects, and Psychics.

And we don't need more Machine decks.
They already have 4 of various Machine themes, THREE of which utilize the Gadgets!
Two of your Machine decks were only 1 deck apart.

A Rock deck I wouldn't mind since Rocks are low on the Yu-Gi-Oh totem pole,
but they should fill in the gaps before the repeat themselves.
Still, the only Rock deck used Flip monsters using Exxod, Master of The Guard as the boss.
I have it and have used it.
It is even slow compared to classic era Yu-Gi-Oh.

Would be awesome to have a plant deck. I like the rock deck I took second at trnament with a rock flip deck. I would buy a dark scorpion deck if it came out. Also why not an archfiend structure they have thrown around archfiends since dark crisis or metal raiders based on the erratas so why not make them tier 2

Archfiends would be neat, although they'd need some modern spicing up.
The closest to that is Gate of the Underworld, while not Archfiends directly, is still Fiend and DARK.
They could revive the Chess Archfiend archetype, maybe doing an upgraded Terrorking Archfiend as they did with Felgrand Dragon.

Now that would be cool Chess Archfiend never went anywhere. Maybe too expensive I never seen anyone ever play the deck even causally.

Let's see, it has TONS of LP costs to pay, although that's negated by Pandemonium.
All their effects, wth the exception of the newer Imprisoned Queen Archfiend, require exact dice rolls.
Rather generic effetcs after a successful dice roll.
Checkmate only allows you to tribute an archfiend to allow Terrorking to attack directly.

No wonder nobody plays it.
It has nothing and relies on luck and you kill yourself without Pandemonium out.
They'd be completely unplayable under the old rules of only allowing one Field Spell at a time.

I'm rethinking using them to build a structure deck around.
You could make a stronger vanilla beatstick deck.

Any structures that are too mixed with Types I didn't include in my counts.

Aqua - 1 (They make up half of two different ones)
Beast - 0
Beast-Warrior - 0
Dinosaur - 1
Divine-Beast - 0 (There are really only 3 of them, so nothing to really do here.)
Dragon - 5.5 (I'm counting the Dragunity one as the half)
Fairy - 1
Fiend - 1
Fish - 0 (Although they are splashed here and there in the couple WATER Decks)
Insect - 0
Machine - 4
Plant - 0
Psychic - 0
Pyro - 1.5 (Fire Kings I counted as half.)
Reptile - 0
Rock - 1
Sea Serpent - 1.5
Spellcaster - 2
Thunder - 0
Warrior - 4
Winged-Beast - 1.5
Wyrm - 0
Zombie - 2

Also, all lot of the non-themed structures have a lot of Warriors, Spellcasters, and Machines.
Maybe this game wouldn't be so unbalanced or (at times in the past) boring if they had some more variety.
How dare a main character be a Reptile user or played Beasts.
Heck, some of those with 0 HAVE had main characters use their cards.

Psychic's probably the most likely one to be made, they've had i guess relatively recent support and unless i've been out of the game way too long and missed an earlier release, reprinting emergency teleport would work out great

Emergency Teleport has been reprinted 3 times in English, most recently in Premium Gold: Infinite Gold.
It wouldn't hurt to be reprinted, though, as it's Limited anyway.
Maybe it'll replace Mirror Force as a formerly important card they now stick into every Starter Deck ever. :D
