X sabers theme?

Post by JhonnyCees » Fri Aug 26, 2011 4:33 pm

I always thought X sabers strategy was to control the opponents hand, but has it's theme now changed to swaming the field?

o.O Then how are you aware of X Saber's "original theme?" Or X Sabers at all, for that matter.

Technically the X-Sabers from the Duel Terminal did have a good deal of cards (Urbellum, Airbellum, Axel) that revolved around the hand. But there was also the beginning of some field-control effects (Uruz, Palomuro, Pashuul).

When Konami moved the theme to the core set they sort of just expanded the X-Sabers to general "gain massive advantage through any outlet possible, be it destroying opponent's cards, discarding them, or drawing/searching/summoning cards of my own."
Which tends to be the general theme of most generic Tier 1 decks (Blackwings, Agents, etc).
