If you keep it a spell card and let you SS from your own grave, it will keep my from wanting to ban it.
There are no spell cards that can special summon a lv4 or lower from your graveyard without some other downside.

There's Miraculous Rebirth, which is Monster Reborn as a Quick-Play.
It just needs you to activate it as Chain Link 4 as the "cost".
But there's really zero cost.

Symbol of Heritage can SS any monster from your GY as long as there's 3 of the same name in there.
Again no cost for any Level.

All they are is harder to play, but they have no cost and can do more than just Level 4.
This card is easier to play, but restricting Level.

Semi is pointless. The difference between 2-3 copies for this card is not that great. Not a lot of my decks would run it anyway.

lol, That effect was literally copypasta from the card Ritual Forgone. :lol:
I'll fix it to say Synchro Monster instead.

I musta rushed that one because that definatly should say "x 1000" after the bit about it's ATK.
It starts with 4000 ATK, but each time you use it's effect, it loses 2000 ATK. (1000 lost for the cost monster and 1000 lost for the monster Special Summoned.)
I'll have to fix that one as well.

Gold Sarcophagus can add monsters as well, not to mention this card's searching is conditional. It has to be played face-down and has to be be attacked and destroy by battle. Effects of cards that destory monsters or if it gets flipped face-up before the battle phase or removed from the field or sent back to your hand and it's stopped. It's not all that dangerous. How many of them are you actually going to put in a deck?

Earth Mother Gaia - As if the goddess of rocks and earth starts with more ATK than DEF. Up the DEF, i think.

Hawk thing - How about during your next End Phase?

Golden Commonality - It looks really broken. Oh and, I don't see why you need the first sentence.

How broken is it if you also cannot Summon effect monsters?

An for Hawk, how about removing it from play to use its effect?

How about make it an even 4000 like her initial ATK would be? If she uses her effect at all, her ATK wil be half of her DEF anyway.

I don't see why it's broken, your deck would have to be almost entirely Normal Monsters to run it.
The first sentence is an activation requirement. Makes it SLIGHTLY harder to use than Skill Drain.

You suggestion makes me think about having something like "If this card is attacked destroyed by battle, you can remove it from play to add 1 Spell or Trap Card from your Deck to your hand."

I mean, its so easy to cripple both players with that. People could just put 3 copies in a deck just to piss people off because the effect is so good. Kinda like Strain of Conflict and Mechanic Breaker.


Card Name: Strain of Conflict
Card Type: Spell/Continuous
Card Text: Both players must discard 1 card from their hand during their Standby Phase. If they cannot, return all monsters they control to their Deck.


Card Name: Mechanic Breaker
Card Type: Trap/Continuous
Card Text: Activate only while you do not control more monsters than your opponent. While this card is face-up on the field, Level 4 or lower monsters cannot be Normal Summoned or Set and Level 5 or higher monsters cannot be Special Summoned.

Both of these were limited because running multiple copies would cripple the game too easily. Golden Commonality is like them

Locked
