Budget Decks: March 2011

This is the place to tell us about your deck and to give other people feedback on theirs.

Please be nice to new players. Don't expect everyone to be an expert, that is why they are asking for advice, after-all.

Budget Decks: March 2011

Post by canasian » Mon Feb 28, 2011 5:50 pm

The Rules

1) Anyone may post a deck list but the card count must be under 45 for the main deck with no single card over $10 and the deck can be no more than $100 total including Side and Extra decks.

2) Do not Bash these decks, they are Low Budget primarily and a few key cards may have been excluded because of price.

3) Do not try to sell cheap decks or cheap cards on this thread. This is a rule of the site but I feel it should be said.

4) You may offer changes to these decks as long as the changes still adhere to rules 1 and 2.

5) You may request a deck list that you do not find on the table of contents.

6) Please leave comments for after the deck list to ease the reading of the deck lists.

7) No abbreviations allowed.

8- Format your post like this for the ease of the reader (model your posts after Loki or Lewiegee, they have excellent examples):
Monsters
xxx
xxx
xxx
Spells
xxx
xxx
xxx
Traps
xxx
xxx
xxx

Side Deck
Extra Deck
Strategy
Comments

General Guidelines
1) Post a price and strategy after the guide, and also try to put where the player can find the cards. This thread benefits new players who may not know where to find certain cards.

2) Avoid bright colors like yellow, pink, and orange.

3) Please list prices for individual cards.

I hope this thread helps and Happy Dueling.

I will not be listing that because:
a) I don't like snark on this thread. We're being serious so that we can help people.
b) You didn't list prices, and you know as well as I do that TKR doesn't fit into the budget constraints and Effect Veiler is pushing it
c) My goal is to try to stick to decks that don't need Duality to be good. Even if it means we only end up with 5 or 6 decks listed.

If you have a build that fits into the budget constraints, then submit it.
However, I'm going to ask that any non-standard builds (this means Watts) be pm'd to me for approval or fixes before posted in this thread.

Worms

Monsters: 18 ($9.60)
1x Worm Solid ($0.30 ea)
1x Worm King ($1.40 ea)
2x Worm Apocalypse ($0.30 ea)
2x Worm Cartaros ($0.50 ea)
3x Worm Xex ($0.30 ea)
3x Worm Yagan ($0.30 ea)
3x Worm Tentacles ($0.30 ea)
3x Worm Queen ($1.20 ea)

Magic: 13 ($25.80)
1x Dark Hole ($3.50 ea)
1x Monster Reborn ($3.50 ea)
1x Book of Moon ($2.30 ea)
1x Future Fusion ($1.20 ea)
1x Polymerization ($2.00 ea)
1x Mystical Space Typhoon ($0.40 ea)
2x Solidarity ($3.00 ea)
2x Burden of the Mighty ($3.00 ea)
3x Viper's Rebirth ($0.30 ea)

Traps: 9 ($38.60)
1x Dark Bribe ($7.00 ea)
1x Royal Oppression ($8.00 ea)
2x Compulsory Evacuation Device ($0.50 ea)
2x Bottomless Trap Hole ($5.00 ea)
3x Offering to the Snake Deity ($4.20 ea)

Extra: 3 ($4.50)
3x Worm Zero ($1.50 ea)

Total: 78.50

The strategy with this deck is to overpower your opponent with your powered up Worm's, or your opponents powered down monsters. Worm Queen is the main summoner of the deck, and her ability can be exploited in many different ways.

This is a very cheap and easily runnable deck. Cost me about $80 to build it myself. It's not that hard to run, and it is easily very competitive.
The only way for a deck to truely fail, is to not know what your cards can do.
Tier 1 is useless if you do not know how to use it.

The deck doesn't actually need him, and plus it would be a bit of a hit or miss if he were to be destroyed.
