Noobs these days

Post by arkain07 » Sun Sep 06, 2015 12:06 am

Reckless greed doesn't stack.
Trap Hole doesn't stop special summoning.
Cards that return to the field aren't special summoned they are RETURNED so you can't bottomless.
Bottomless Trap Hole destroys not only banishes so stardust gets effect.
If a set card is targeted by a card that says Target set card. if opponent activates it and its continuos weather it says destroy it or not the card is no longer set so no destruction of that card.

MST DOES NOT NEGATE yes but can cause cards to miss timing such as continuos spell and traps.

I literally ran into all of these in one freaking day. Oh and some kid kept searching his deck without effect. didn't add anything but used it to shuffle and kept doing it. And he says "I can do it as much as I want as long as I shuffle." Freaking NOOBS. I got so tired of calling admins that I literally kept raging on them because I got tired of it all after a very short time and it didn't stop. so many scrubs and yeah its just a card game but please learn the freaking rules if you are gonna play or at least let someone explain them to you calmly. The fact that they kept on about it made me even more mad. So free rating for them. Loses don't matter I would rather lose than to play these people who can't play the game right.

Aw man......I saw the title and thought you wrote me a biography....

in all seriousness though, I'd say just call an admin to smite them with the noobhammer.
Either you get an admin or they quit from boredom waiting for it. It's a war of attrition.

I call the admins and at that time they all went offline

They're obviously inexperienced and know next to nothing about the game. You shouldn't take it so seriously.

You either try to help them improve and explain to them how to play properly, or you just walk away. Don't worry about some numbers on a gaming website.

It sucks, but waiting them out is the best strategy. If you quit, sure, you're free of that duel, but your rating won't go up, and you'll just be stuck in that group when DN finds you a partner. Long term, the bottom line is to grind for points, no matter how painful

People still expect new players to know every ruling?

Edited for more obvious sarcasm.

People still start playing this game with very little knowledge of rulings?

in 2015?
Oh trust me, it doesn't end there.
Things I've had to deal with:
Multiple Scrap-Iron Scarecrow activations in one turn
Synchro Summoning with Xyz monsters
Shuffling backrow because you accidentally revealed a card
Changing what you did (note the past tense) based on what your opponent does in response.
80 card decks with only half the cards sleeves.
Tributing 3 monsters for monsters over level 8.
Macro doesn't change "destroy" to banish, it changes "and sent to the graveyard" to banish. Method=/=Destination
Magic Cylinder is not battle damage
Costs are not optional
You can't normal summon and tribute summon in the same turn.
I don't have to also tribute monsters for a rank 8 Xyz.
Same as above, for Synchros.
I can chain with a card that's about to be destroyed.
Hieratic monsters tribute from the hand, but everything else is still discarding
You can't use normal spells on your opponents turn.
(with above) DE-SPELL DOESN'T NEGATE
Dark Bribing a Upstart Goblin is entirely freaking pointless.
Oh man, could I go on...

Honestly I was more concerned about the de-spell negating....

I like DN over devpro. Personal preference and i can meet up with more peeps there and chat. and can meet with more people for YCG there. But most of my peeps are still there so no need to leave yet.
