Post by The Stranger » Mon Jul 15, 2013 7:40 pm

Spoiler:
Fist of Nature - Sigurd the Bear Warrior
Earth
Level 4
Warrior/Effect
1800/0
This card can attack monsters on either side of the field (including itself.) This card gains the following effect depending on its type:
•Warrior-type: Once per turn, you can change this card's type to Beast-type. Once per turn, this card is unaffected by the effects of trap cards. If this card destroys a monster by battle, banish 1 Spell or Trap card on the field.
•Beast-type: Once per turn, you can change this card's type to Warrior-type. Once per turn, this card is unaffected by the effects of spell cards. When this card destroys a monster by battle, special summon 1 level 4 or lower "Fist of Nature" monster from your graveyard to your opponent's side of the field. If you destroy that monster by battle, special summon it to your side of the field. That monster cannot be used as material for a Synchro, Xyz, Fusion, Ritual or Tribute summon.

Fist of Nature - Fenrir the Wolf Warrior
Earth
Level 4
Warrior/Effect
1400/1000
This card can attack monsters on either side of the field (including itself.) This card gains the following effect depending on its type:
•Warrior-type: Once per turn, you can change this card's type to Beast-type. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, it gains 600 ATK. If this card would be destroyed, it can lose 600 ATK; it is not destroyed.
•Beast-type: Once per turn, you can change this card's type to Warrior-type. When this card is selected as an attack target, you can banish 1 EARTH monster from your graveyard; Negate the attack. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, you can special summon 1 level 4 or lower "Fist of Nature" monster from your graveyard. Your opponent must then look through their graveyard and special summon 1 level 4 or lower monster to their side of the field.

Fist of Nature - Grisnir the Goat Warrior
Earth
Level 4
Warrior/Effect
1200/1400
This card can attack monsters on either side of the field (including itself.) This card gains the following effect depending on its type:
•Warrior-type: Once per turn, you can change this card's type to Beast-type. During your standby phase, you can return up to 3 banished EARTH monsters to your graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, "Fist of Nature" monsters you control gain 500 ATK. When this card destroys a monster by battle, you can add 1 "Fist of Nature" monster from your graveyard to your hand.
•Beast-type: Once per turn, you can change this card's type to Warrior-type. During your standby phase, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls; switch its battle position. When this card destroys a monster by battle, you can banish 1 card in your hand to add 1 "Fist of Nature" monster from your deck to your hand.

Fist of Nature - Vinni the Boar Warrior
Earth
Level 4
Warrior/Effect
1800/2000
This card can attack monsters on either side of the field (including itself.) While this card is face-up on the field, neither player takes any effect damage, except by this card's effect. This card gains the following effect depending on its type:
•Warrior-type: Once per turn, you can change this card's type to Beast-type. Instead of conducting a normal draw during your Draw Phase you can target 1 "Fist of Nature" monster in your graveyard, or 1 banished "Fist of Nature" monster; add that card to your hand. When this card destroys a monster by battle, you can pay 1000 lifepoints; draw 1 card.
•Beast-type: Once per turn, you can change this card's type to Warrior-type. Instead of conducting a normal draw during your Draw Phase you can banish this card; Draw 2 cards. When this card destroys a monster by battle, you can increase your opponent's lifepoints by 1000; your opponent discards 1 random card from their hand.

Berserkergang
Spell/Normal
Until your next end phase, all "Fist of Nature" monsters you control can attack 2 times during each battle phase. All battle damage inflicted to your opponent this turn is halved. While this card is in the graveyard, you can banish 1 "Fist of Nature" monster you control to add this card to your hand.

War Paint
Spell/Quick-play
Target 1 "Fist of Nature" monster you control; during your next stand-by phase, if that monster is in the graveyard, special summon it.
Spoiler:
Recruitment Officer Brock

This note applies to all the Fist of nature monsters: but this may be the best example. Should it be able to change to Beast, swap a cards position then swap back to warrior and gain 500ATK? Perhaps you should make it a once per turn effect that is seperate of its type effect

Approved

War Paint
Spell/Quick-play
Target 1 "Fist of Nature" monster you control; during your next stand-by phase, if that monster is in the graveyard, special summon it.
Only 1 monster can be summoned each Standby-Phase by the effect of War paint? something along those lines, I am not sure that it needs the limitation, so. . . Approved.

Fist of Nature - Sigurd the Bear Warrior

See Grisnir. Warrior, specify S/T/monster anything would be to much.

When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, you and your opponent must look through their graveyard and select 1 level 4 or lower monster; special summon it to its owner's side of the field in defense position.
See Grisnir. beast; considering the effect of Warrior, ditch the cant be destroyed battle bit or change it somehow. beast - So, both players have to agree on a monster to summon? the sendod bit is just plan oddly worded

Fist of Nature - Vinni the Boar Warrior
Earth
Level 4

See Grisnir.
Kicking it off with a new archetype that is... Probably overpowered, admittedly.
I'll probably have to nerf this archetype a bit, admittedly.

That's intentional. Albeit this one doesn't really use it to make any nice dynamics, since the warrior ability doesn't have anything to activate during the standby phase like the beast one does.

War Paint
Spell/Quick-play
Target 1 "Fist of Nature" monster you control; during your next stand-by phase, if that monster is in the graveyard, special summon it.

It seemed pretty weak to me, I made it so that they can use it to attack one of their own monsters to activate an effect.

I was worried about it being too much. I'll probably change it to spell or trap.

The beast battle protection is meant to create a risk/reward thing where you could make him a wolf, but it would mean he's susceptible to destruction effects, or make him a human and risk running out of attack points defending him. It's kind of pointless to ever end your turn with him as a Wolf without it.
If you have a suggestion on how to word it, I'll take it.

Fist of Nature - Vinni the Boar Warrior

See Grisnir.
Yet again, kind of an intentional mechanic. There are a bunch of ways you can manipulate the lifepoint effects to fit your situation.

I think that Sigurd, Fenrir, and Vinni are all a tad bit overpowered (Sigurd more so).

Sigurd - the most OP card here (he would be really good in real game too). When he comes in the field, he is unaffected by traps. He kills something then boom, banishes another. M2 Change him to Beast going into your opponent's turn, all of a sudden none of your opponent's spell cards work? His secondary beast effect isn't that bad, but his effects in general are off the charts combined with his base 1900 attack stat (he runs over practically everything in our meta, there is no way he is getting that banish effect).

Fenrir - While 1400 isn't exactly sky high it isn't low either. I think instead, he should only boost and reduce by 600 attack and defense points. This way he stays on the field longer, but doesn't become such a huge threat in one turn. Also, as a beast type he doesn't need that secondary effect. Not being able to be destroyed by battle while being able to boost by 600 each time he kills a monster, is already extremely powerful for a monster you can just throw onto the field. Give him that secondary effect and fields will simply be spammed to quickly.

Vinni - least OP out of the 3. In fact he's not OP at all. I can just imagine the sort of burn & stall decks that would revolve around him, taxation, and any stall cards. Instead of the standby phase 1000 points of damage, change that to 500.

Yeah, he's going to get a big nerf.

I think I'll definitely do that attack gain nerf, but the battle destruction prevention I really want to stay; read my reply to LD because I would basically say the same thing here.

Vinni - least OP out of the 3. In fact he's not OP at all. I can just imagine the sort of burn & stall decks that would revolve around him, taxation, and any stall cards. Instead of the standby phase 1000 points of damage, change that to 500.
I was thinking about that; What if I made it so that you can't damage your opponent via effect damage while he's out, and maybe something about your opponent's attacks being impossible to negate?

For Vinni "While you control "Vinni the Boar Warrior" face-up, your opponent's monsters must attack directly and you can't activate trap cards during the battle phase. Thus making you not have lifepoints to spare for his payment of 1000 lifepoints for that draw 1 card effect. Otherwise he can load your hand really fast and with virtually zero downside.

Your opponent's monsters must attack directly?
If that means what I think it means, summoning vinni would be equivalent to scooping.

During your standby phase, both players lose 1000 lifepoints. If your opponent's lifepoints are 1000 or less, this effect is not activated. When this card destroys a monster by battle, you can pay 1000 lifepoints; draw 1 card.
•Beast-type: Once per turn, you can change this card's type to Warrior-type. During your standby phase, both players gain 1000 lifepoints. When this card destroys a monster by battle, you can increase your opponent's lifepoints by 1000; your opponent discards 1 random card from their hand.

Isn't the warrior effect completely pointless now? Like 100% useless

Level 4
Warrior/Effect
1200/1400
This card can attack monsters on either side of the field (including itself.) This card gains the following effect depending on its type:
•Warrior-type: Once per turn, you can change this card's type to Beast-type.
Balanced. Approved.

Berserkergang
Spell/Normal
All "Fist of Nature" monsters you control can attack 2 times during each battle phase. All battle damage inflicted to your opponent this turn is halved. While this card is in the graveyard, you can banish 1 "Fist of Nature" monster you control to add this card to your hand.
I'm concerned about the underlined part. The wording on it sounds like it creates a lasting effect on them. Maybe change the "each" to "this"?

War Paint
Spell/Quick-play
Target 1 "Fist of Nature" monster you control; during your next stand-by phase, if that monster is in the graveyard, special summon it.
I like it. It's like a pseudo-Forbidden Lance. Approved.
When this card destroys a monster by battle, special summon 1 level 4 or lower monster from your graveyard to your opponent's side of the field. If you destroy that monster by battle, special summon it to your side of the field.
Wait wait wait. So he destroys a monster by battle, gets another one out for your opponent, kills that, and gets another one? This is scary, especially if you have any Mystic Tomato-esque cards in your graveyard, which means you spam monsters onto the field.

When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, you and your opponent must look through their graveyard and select 1 level 4 or lower monster; special summon it to its owner's side of the field in defense position.
When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, both players search their respective Graveyard and target 1 Level 4 or lower monster; Special Summon both targets to their owner's side of the field in face-up Defense Position. Does that wording sound better?

Fist of Nature - Vinni the Boar Warrior
Earth
Level 4
Warrior/Effect
1800/2000
This card can attack monsters on either side of the field (including itself.) While this card is face-up on the field, neither player takes any effect damage, except by this card's effect. This card gains the following effect depending on its type:
•Warrior-type: Once per turn, you can change this card's type to Beast-type.
I don't know how LD thinks that the Warrior effect is useless.. I'd pick that over the Beast effect usually. Approved.
Kicking it off with a new archetype that is... Probably overpowered, admittedly.

Isn't the warrior effect completely pointless now? Like 100% useless
I think you mayhap misread that.

If Sigurd's second effect ends the battle phase as well I'd be okay with that (also, the clause of, that monster can't be used for synchro, xyz, tribute, or ritual).

You mean the beast effect? Because that would make it pretty terrible. I would be willing to add in the second bit (because I didn't intend for them to delve into the extra deck very much) but the battle phase part just kills it.

I would say the synchro and xyz option would make it fine. I have no major problems with your cards as they are.
